How the guides are written
Every guide aims to answer one question in the first paragraph, then back it up. That means naming a specific place, giving its address, and stating the hours we found. Where a town has no restaurant or hotel of its own, the guide says so plainly and points to the nearest one that does, rather than padding the page with irrelevant listings.
Details change. Restaurants close, hotels change hands, and opening hours move with the season. Always confirm before you drive.
