Germ Trips is funded by affiliate commission. If you book a ticket, tour, hotel or transfer through a link on this site, the company you book with pays us a small share of what you spend. It costs you nothing extra — the price is the same as going to them directly.
Who we work with
We are an affiliate partner of GetYourGuide and of several travel companies through the Travelpayouts network, including Tiqets, Trip.com, Kiwitaxi and Intui.travel. Where a booking widget or link appears on this site, the booking itself is handled by that company, not by Germ Trips. Your payment, your confirmation, your tickets and any refund or cancellation are all between you and them.
Germ Trips is not part of, endorsed by, or an official website of GetYourGuide or any attraction, museum or operator we write about. We are an independent site.
What commission does not do
It does not change what we tell you about a ticket. Our guides routinely say things that cost us money, because they are true:
- We tell you when an attraction is free — the church at Jerónimos, Plaza de España, the changing of the guard in Stockholm, most of Fisherman’s Bastion.
- We tell you when the official channel is the only valid one, and we carry no booking link at all on those pages. The Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial is the clearest example: the Museum states it works with no outside ticket sellers, so we place none.
- We tell you when something cannot be pre-booked by anyone, so that any listing offering it is selling you something else.
- We tell you when a city pass is worse value than buying separately, and when a cheaper ticket tier leaves out the thing you came for.
If a guide would be more useful to you by telling you not to buy something, it says so.
How we check prices
Every price in our ticket guides comes from the operator’s own website, and each guide carries the date we checked it. Where an operator does not publish a figure, we say “not published” rather than repeating a number from somewhere else. Where two official pages contradict each other, we say that too, and tell you which one we went with.
Prices change. Always confirm on the operator’s own site before you travel.
Questions
If anything here is unclear, or you think a page has got something wrong, please get in touch. We would rather fix it.
