The trip.com listing gives check-in after 3:00 PM, check-out before 12:00 noon, a 24-hour front desk, and pet-friendly rooms. The listing says breakfast is not included with room rates. The same listing says the hotel opened in 2025. We found this in one source, so confirm the status with Travelodge before you book.

Pick this property only if you arrive late on the M4 and want a simple room near the motorway.

An earlier version of this guide listed The Old Bell Inn near Chippenham town centre. Visit Wiltshire places The Old Bell Hotel at Abbey Row, Malmesbury SN16 0BW, and gives the phone as 01666 822344. Malmesbury is a separate town. We therefore removed the listing from this guide. If you want a stay near Malmesbury Abbey, call the hotel and check the distance to Chippenham on a map.

The old guide also named a Chippenham Castle and a river cruise on the Avon. We found no visitor listing for either one in our sources. We removed both claims.
