Purdue home games in 2026
4 September (Indiana State, a Friday), 12 September (Wake Forest), 26 September (Notre Dame), 10 October (Minnesota), 16 October (Washington, Friday night), 7 November (Maryland, homecoming) and 21 November (Wisconsin).
Notre Dame on 26 September is the hardest night of the year to find a room. Note also the two Friday night games, which shift demand off the usual Saturday pattern and catch people out.
Purdue had not published its December 2026 or spring 2027 commencement dates when we checked, so we are not quoting any.
The Amtrak stop, and the wrong one
Amtrak’s Cardinal stops at Lafayette station, code LAF, 200 North Second Street, at Riehle Plaza. It runs three days a week: eastbound arrives around 9:56pm on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday; westbound leaves around 8:01am on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday.
Amtrak also lists a second Lafayette entry, the CityBus Center at 316 North 3rd Street, code LAT. The Cardinal does not stop there. Check the code on your ticket.
