The listing says the building opened in 1994 and had a renovation in 2021. A second listing also names an indoor pool, so the pool looks solid. Confirm breakfast and pet rules by phone.

Guest ratings on the listing we read sit lower than the other hotels in this guide, with praise for cleanliness and staff. Pick the Super 8 if you want a simple room and flexible check-in.

Days Inn by Wyndham Maysville

The Days Inn stands at 484 Moody Drive, Maysville, KY 41056. Call 606-375-4758. The Wyndham page lists a free light breakfast, free Wi-Fi, free parking, flat screen televisions, a mini refrigerator and a microwave in rooms.

Pet friendly rooms cost extra. The Wyndham page says the outdoor pool is closed for renovations, so do not book for a swim without a call. The page does not list check-in times. Our earlier version of this guide named an on-site bar. We could not confirm one, so we dropped the claim.

Choose the Days Inn if you want a breakfast and a room with a microwave for a short stay.

Brown’s Motel Sits Across the River in Ohio

Our earlier version listed Brown’s Motel as a Maysville option. Expedia lists Brown’s Motel under Aberdeen, Ohio, across the Ohio River, and not in Maysville. We removed the motel from the Maysville list. Two bridges link the towns, the Simon Kenton Memorial Bridge and the William H. Harsha Bridge, according to Wikipedia.

If you want a budget room in Aberdeen, search Aberdeen and confirm the motel is open. We did not verify the motel itself.

What to Do Near Your Maysville Hotel

The National Underground Railroad Museum draws many visitors to Maysville. Wikipedia calls the city an important stop on the Underground Railroad because of its position across the river from Ohio. Check the museum site for hours and ticket rules before you go.

The Kentucky Gateway Museum Center sits downtown. The Russell Theatre hosted the world premiere of the first film made by Rosemary Clooney in 1953, according to Wikipedia. Ten murals decorate the downtown floodwall.

Old Pogue Distillery stands at 716 West 2nd Street and sits on the northern Kentucky Craft Tour. The Lee House Inn describes the distillery as the oldest in Kentucky. The inn lists tastings for guests aged 21 and older, so confirm current tasting rules on the distillery website.

History runs deep here. Simon Kenton founded the first settlement in 1775 and Daniel Boone later opened a trading post, according to Wikipedia. By the 1830s Maysville was the second most important commercial city in Kentucky after Louisville.
