The hotel has no airport shuttle. Marriott places Pueblo Memorial Airport 7.5 miles away and Colorado Springs Airport 41.1 miles away. Denver International Airport sits 129 miles from the hotel.
Travelocity also lists a policy for local residents. The listing says guests who live within 25 miles of the property cannot check in. Ask the front desk if this rule applies to your booking.
Pick SpringHill Suites if you want a downtown base, a hot breakfast, and a room with a sitting area.
TownePlace Suites by Marriott Pueblo Downtown
TownePlace Suites stands at 170 South Santa Fe Avenue, Pueblo, CO 81003, on the same street as SpringHill Suites. Call 719-543-1912. Marriott lists check-in at 4:00 PM and check-out at 11:00 AM. Guests must be 21 or older.

Pets are welcome with limits. Marriott lists one dog per room with a 50-pound weight limit and a pet fee. Call the hotel for the current fee before you book. The American Southwest hotel guide describes the property as a 74-room hotel two blocks from the Riverwalk. Marriott describes the hotel as a new extended-stay property opened in 2023.
Pick TownePlace Suites if you plan a stay of several nights, work in Pueblo, or want to cook your own meals.

Hotels in Pueblo Near Interstate 25 and Gateway Drive
North and south of downtown, hotels cluster along Interstate 25. These hotels sit farther from the Riverwalk, so plan to drive.
Microtel Inn and Suites by Wyndham Pueblo
Microtel stands at 3343 Gateway Drive, Pueblo, CO 81004. Call 719-569-5274. The Wyndham site lists free breakfast, free Wi-Fi, free parking, guest laundry, and accessible and non-smoking rooms. Some suites include sleeper sofas, microwaves, and refrigerators. Wyndham says the hotel welcomes pets. We could not confirm check-in and check-out times, so ask when you call.
The American Southwest guide lists the same address and places the hotel near Interstate 25 exit 94, about 3 miles south of downtown. Wyndham did not publish a distance, so treat this figure as single-source.
Pick Microtel if you want a simple room, a free breakfast, and a pet-friendly stay.
Hampton Inn and Suites Pueblo Southgate
The American Southwest guide lists this hotel at 3315 Gateway Drive, Pueblo, CO 81004, near Interstate 25 exit 94. The guide lists 81 rooms and suites, a pool with indoor and outdoor sections, a fitness center, and a free hot breakfast.
We found only this one source. The Hilton page did not load for us. Confirm the address, the amenities, and the policies by phone. We also could not confirm any riverfront setting, so ignore older guides with riverfront claims.
Motels and Budget Options Near the Interstate
Pueblo has a larger group of chain hotels in the north near the Eagleridge area. The American Southwest guide lists each of them. We found this guide only once for each, so we mark every property below as unconfirmed.
The guide lists Best Western Plus Eagleridge Inn and Suites at 4727 North Elizabeth Street, with an indoor pool, a hot tub, a sauna, and a free breakfast. The guide also lists Hampton Inn and Suites Pueblo North at 4790 Eagleridge Circle, Wingate by Wyndham at 4711 North Elizabeth Street, and Holiday Inn Express and Suites Pueblo North at 4530 Dillon Drive. The guide adds Candlewood Suites at 4640 Dillon Drive, Avid Hotel at 855 Eagleridge Boulevard, Baymont at 3626 North Freeway Road, Days Inn at 4201 North Elizabeth Street, and Travelodge at 4703 North Freeway.
For a lower price point, the guide lists Super 8 by Wyndham at 1100 Highway 50 West. Verify each address and brand before you drive there, because brands change. Search the address on a booking site and read the current name on the listing.
Pueblo Hotels Closed or Changed
Older guides, including the earlier version of this post, list properties we could not confirm. We dropped them.
The old version listed a Quality Inn and Suites West. A 2019 trade report said a Quality Inn and Suites at 3910 Outlook Boulevard was converting to a Comfort Inn and Suites. The same report said the Econo Lodge at 77 South Radnor Drive in Pueblo West was converting to a Quality Inn and Suites. The report gave April 2019 as the expected finish. We could not confirm the current brand at either address. Check the name on the building and on your reservation.
The old version also listed a DoubleTree by Hilton. We could not find a current DoubleTree listing. The Courtyard by Marriott now stands beside the convention center. We could not confirm whether the two share a history, so we make no claim.
The old version listed the Historic Arkansas Riverwalk as a place to stay with cabins and historic rooms. The Riverwalk is a public attraction, not a hotel. We found no lodging there.
The Val U Stay Inn is another name to avoid. A news report says the city and several agencies closed the hotel on April 25 after inspectors found health hazards, and the hotel had run without a lodging license. A health official said the hotel could reopen if the owner fixes the violations, though the process would be long. Skip any booking listing for the property.
Things to Do Near Pueblo Hotels
The Historic Arkansas Riverwalk sits close to the three downtown hotels. The El Pueblo History Museum stands at 301 North Union Avenue. History Colorado runs the museum. The grounds hold a reconstruction of an 1840s adobe trading post and the excavated site of the original 1842 El Pueblo trading post.
The Pueblo Zoo stands at 3455 Nuckolls Avenue on 25 acres. The zoo holds over 420 animals from more than 140 species and carries Association of Zoos and Aquariums accreditation. Its original core, built from 1933 to 1940 under Depression-era federal programs, appears on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Rosemount Museum stands at 419 West 14th Street. John A. Thatcher built the 37-room mansion from 1891 to 1893. Visitors see original furnishings and a third-floor artifact collection with an Egyptian mummy. The mansion joined the National Register in 1974.
Lake Pueblo State Park lies about 4 to 7 miles west of Pueblo, depending on the entrance. The park covers nearly 15,000 acres with over 4,600 surface acres of water. Visitors boat, fish, hike, bike, and camp at more than 400 sites. The park office phone is 719-561-9320. Park hours run from 5 AM to 10 PM, though you should check the Colorado Parks and Wildlife site for current hours and fees.
We did not confirm current hours at the museums or the zoo. Call each one before you go.
Getting to Pueblo and Getting Around
Pueblo sits where the Arkansas River meets Fountain Creek, about 112 miles south of Denver. Interstate 25 runs through the city. Most visitors drive.
Pueblo Memorial Airport lies about 7.5 miles from downtown, according to Marriott. Colorado Springs Airport lies roughly 41 to 43 miles away, and Denver International Airport lies about 129 miles away. The downtown hotels do not run airport shuttles.
If you stay downtown, you can walk to the Riverwalk and Union Avenue. If you stay near the interstate, plan on a car for every outing.
How to Choose the Best Hotel in Pueblo
Families should start with SpringHill Suites. The suite layout, the pool, and the hot breakfast give children and parents room to spread out.
Long stays and work trips point to TownePlace Suites. The kitchens and on-site laundry cut the cost of a week away from home.
Convention guests should look at Courtyard, because the hotel connects to the Pueblo Convention Center.
Pet owners have two confirmed choices. TownePlace Suites accepts one dog per room up to 50 pounds, and Microtel says pets are welcome. Call both for current fees and rules. SpringHill Suites and Courtyard do not allow pets.
Budget travelers should compare Microtel and the unconfirmed interstate hotels by phone. Ask for the total with taxes and fees. Compare the total on two booking sites and by phone.
Before you pay, confirm the property name, the cancellation policy, parking, breakfast hours, and front desk hours for late arrivals. Ask for a written confirmation.
What We Checked and What We Could Not
We checked SpringHill Suites, TownePlace Suites, and Courtyard against Marriott pages and the American Southwest hotel guide. We checked Microtel against the Wyndham page and the same guide. We checked the SpringHill details against Travelocity as well.
We took the Hampton Inn, Best Western, and other interstate hotel details from the American Southwest guide alone. We took attraction details from Wikipedia and the Colorado Parks and Wildlife site. We took the Val U Stay Inn closure from a news report and the 2019 conversions from a hotel trade report.
We could not confirm current rates, check-in times at Microtel, or the current brand at the two converted properties. Phone numbers and policies change. Confirm each detail with the property before you travel.
