The two hotels
- Rock Island Inn & Suites, 1705 N. Bloomington Street, Streator, IL 61364. Phone 815-672-0080. This was the AmericInn. Same building, same phone, but it has left the Wyndham system and is now independent. Older listings, including the Illinois state tourism site, still call it AmericInn.

The Starved Rock name is misleading
The Starved Rock Motor Inn is in Streator, about 25 minutes from Starved Rock State Park, by its own account. It is not park-adjacent and it is not the lodge. The property inside the park is Starved Rock Lodge, in Oglesby.
If the park is why you are coming, book Utica, Oglesby, Ottawa or Peru instead. Ottawa alone has around eight hotels and Peru has five, against two in Streator. Streator is the fallback when the park corridor sells out on autumn colour weekends, and that is genuinely its function in this market rather than a criticism of it.
One listing to be careful with
The Relax Inn on IL-23 appears on several major booking sites. It is absent from the City of Streator’s official accommodation page, its supposed website resolves to a parked template with no address or phone, and two different phone numbers circulate for it. We could not establish that it is trading. Do not book it without ringing first.
