Beach parking is the real constraint

Arriving by train
There is no Amtrak station in Scarborough. The Downeaster stops at Wells, Saco, Old Orchard Beach, Portland, Freeport and Brunswick, so arriving by rail means Portland or Old Orchard Beach plus a car from there.
