Colosseum Underground Tickets: “Full Experience” Does Not Always Mean Underground
Two Colosseum tickets cost 24 euros and only one includes the underground. It releases 30 days ahead; the other releases at 7 days.

There are two Colosseum tickets called “Full Experience”. They cost the same €24 and only one of them includes the underground. Price tells you nothing. The name tells you almost nothing. You have to read the whole title.
The four tickets, plainly
- Full Experience Underground and Arena — €24. Arena floor, hypogeum, tiers I and II, two days, Forum and Palatine included. This is the one you want. Underground admission is noted as subject to place availability.
- Full Experience Arena — €24. Arena floor and tiers, no underground at all.
- 24h Only Arena — €18. Arena floor for twenty minutes via the Sperone Stern entrance, and no access to tiers I and II.
- Colosseo, Foro Romano, Palatino — €18. The standard ticket. Tiers only, no arena, no underground, 75 minutes inside.
The release windows are different too
Underground and Arena goes on sale 30 days before your date. Full Experience Arena goes on sale at 7 days. Advice that gives one window for “the Full Experience ticket” is wrong about one of them. Set a reminder for the 30-day mark if the hypogeum is the point of the trip.
Tickets are named and ID is checked
Since the 2024 visitor regulation, Colosseum tickets are nominative and must be shown with identity documents at the access controls. Names can be changed online once, up to midnight on the seventh day before the visit. Older guides describing transferable tickets are out of date, and ticketing has moved off CoopCulture to the park’s own platform.
What resellers charge
State admission to the arena and hypogeum is €24. A comparable small-group reseller tour of the same ground lists at roughly €65 to €70. Some of that is a licensed guide, which has real value. Most of it is not. The official site does not publish a separate presale fee; one reseller discloses a €2 booking fee, which we could not confirm officially.
