Empire State Building Tickets: The 102nd Floor Costs Extra
The standard Empire State ticket covers the 86th floor only. Top Deck adds the 102nd from a higher price, and there is a 5 dollar booking charge.

The standard ticket is for the 86th-floor open-air deck. The enclosed 102nd floor is not included. It is a separate, dearer product, and while you can upgrade after purchase through Manage My Booking, you cannot assume it is in the price you paid.

Two things in the small print
Reservations are required and tied to a slot — only the Flex ticket lets you turn up whenever. And all tickets are non-refundable, including for weather. A cloud-covered evening is your problem, not theirs.
Open 365 days. Through mid-September it runs 9am to midnight, with the entry door closing at 11pm.
