Jewish Museum Prague Tickets: Closed Every Saturday
The Jewish Museum in Prague costs 600 CZK, is valid for three opening days, now includes the Old-New Synagogue, and closes every Saturday.
The single ticket for Prague’s Jewish Quarter is 600 CZK and it is more flexible than it looks — it is valid across three opening days, not one. It is also completely unusable on the day most visitors have free.
Saturday is a closure, not a short day
The museum is closed every Saturday for Shabbat, along with Jewish holidays. In 2026 that adds 13 and 21 September, 27 September and 4 October to the closures. If your Prague weekend is Saturday and Sunday, the Jewish Quarter has to go on the Sunday, and that is the busiest it gets.
The Old-New Synagogue is now included
This changed in January 2024 and a great deal of published advice has not caught up. The Old-New Synagogue — the oldest active synagogue in Europe — used to require its own separate ticket on top of the museum ticket. It does not any more. One 600 CZK ticket covers it. If a seller offers you a combined ticket at a premium to add it, they are charging you for something you already have.
What the ticket covers
- The Old Jewish Cemetery.
- The Pinkas Synagogue, with the names of Czech and Moravian victims of the Holocaust written on the walls.
- The Spanish, Maisel and Klausen synagogues and the Ceremonial Hall.
- The Old-New Synagogue.
Use the three-day validity. Doing the Pinkas Synagogue and the cemetery in the same hour as everything else is a lot to carry in one go.
