SUMMIT One Vanderbilt Tickets: Ascent Is a Separate Ticket
The glass elevator most visitors come for is not in SUMMIT general admission. And unlike Top of the Rock there is no reschedule right for bad weather.

Ascent — the glass elevator on the outside of the building — is not included in general admission. It is a separate ticket, and it is the thing most people have come for.
The gap between the two is roughly $24. SUMMIT does not publish a standalone add-on price, so if you want it, buy the Ascent tier from the start.

Add a $3 online processing fee. Pricing is dynamic by date and slot. Adult means 13 and over; youth is 6 to 12; under-5s need no ticket.
New York City and Long Island residents get $5 off general admission, online only, verified by billing ZIP code.
Bad weather is simply your loss
This is the sharpest difference from the other New York decks. SUMMIT’s terms: all sales are final and no refunds are given for any reason, including weather. There is no published reschedule right and no grace period for late arrival.
Top of the Rock, by contrast, lets you ask to move your slot in poor visibility. If the forecast is doubtful, that difference is worth real money.
It is an art installation, not a viewing platform
Useful to know if you are expecting a conventional deck. The named pieces are AIR by Kenzo Digital, REFLECT by Yayoi Kusama, LEVITATION — two glass ledges hung 1,100 feet above Madison Avenue — plus the Terrace and the Après café by Snøhetta.
SUMMIT budgets about 90 minutes. Its own terms note it may not suit under-10s. Open daily 8am to midnight, last entry 10.30pm.
