Churchill War Rooms Tickets: The Price Jumps on 2 September

If your dates are flexible at all, this one is simple. Adult entry is £29.75 until 1 September 2026 and £34.00 from 2 September. Identical access, 14% apart, one day between them.

That is the UK’s temporary VAT cut on attraction tickets expiring, and the Imperial War Museums have already published the rate that follows.

Prices either side of the line

TicketUntil 1 SepFrom 2 Sep
Adult£29.75£34.00
65+, student, disabled£26.80£30.60
Child 5–15£14.90£17.00

Under-5s free. One carer per disabled visitor free. IWM members free. Like the Abbey and unlike some London attractions, IWM quotes flat prices with no Gift Aid uplift inflating the headline.

What is included

The Churchill Museum is included, not an add-on. It sits inside the same underground complex, so one ticket covers the wartime bunker and the biographical museum together.

Entry is by timed slot with a 30-minute arrival window. Open 9am to 6pm through August with last entry at 5pm; from 1 September it opens at 9.30am.

One thing to ignore: the IWM ticketing portal still shows an older listing at £33 adult. That is the superseded 2025 rate. Not on the London Pass, so budget the full fare.
