Pantheon Paris Tickets: The Dome Is Closed for Renovation
The Pantheon panorama, the reason most people pay to go up, is shut for renovation with no reopening date. Wednesdays in summer cost 13 euros, not 16.
The reason many people buy a Panthéon ticket is the colonnade walk around the dome, looking down the length of Paris. It is closed for renovation. The official practical-information page says so today, and no reopening date is published.
Be careful here: the Panthéon’s own agenda page still shows the old panorama season and its €3.50 supplement as though it were running, and the Paris Museum Pass site lists it too. Both are stale. The practical-information page is the one to trust.
Prices, and the Wednesday discount
- Adult €16 in high season, 1 April to 30 September. €13 in low season.
- Every Wednesday in high season is charged at the low-season €13. A summer Wednesday saves you €3 for identical access.
- Combined with the Basilica of Saint-Denis: €26.
- Free for under-16s, and for EU citizens and residents aged 16 to 25. Free first Sundays, but only in January, February, March, November and December.
Unlike its sister site Sainte-Chapelle, which moved to two-tier pricing in January 2026, the Panthéon charges one rate regardless of nationality. Only the 16–25 free band depends on where you are from.
Hours and passes
April to September 10am to 6.30pm; October to March 10am to 6pm. Last entry 45 minutes before closing. It opens at noon on the first working Monday of each month. Closed 1 January, 1 May and 25 December.
The Paris Museum Pass covers it and no time slot is needed — you walk in. Booking is optional for individuals and required only for groups.
