The Pantheon closes at 7pm. The ticket office closes at 6pm, and the last entry is 6.30pm. Turn up at quarter past six without a ticket and you are looking at it from the outside.
The price went up this summer
Full admission rose from €5 to €7 on 1 July 2026. Plenty of guides still say €5. The reduced and free categories were deliberately left alone:
- Full €7.00
- EU citizens aged 18–25: €2.00
- Under-18s: free
- Residents of the Comune di Roma: free
- First Sunday of every month: free for everyone
Mass is still free, and still Mass
Worshippers enter free for Saturday 5pm and Sunday 10.30am services. This is a genuine religious service in a working basilica, not a way round the ticket desk — go if you mean to attend.
Booking
Entry is by assigned time slot, bought through the Ministry’s Musei Italiani platform or on site. Same-day purchase is possible, so booking ahead is strongly advisable rather than the only route.
The Ministry notes there is no skip-the-line option — the Pantheon does not sell a queue-jump, so anyone offering one is selling you something else.
Open daily 9am to 7pm, with extra evening opening 7pm to 11pm in August, last entry 10.30pm. Closed 25 December and 1 January.
