Montjuic Cable Car Tickets: Singles Are Not Sold Online

If you plan to ride up and walk back down through the gardens, note this before you open the booking page: one-way tickets are sold at station ticket offices only. Online, the cable car sells returns and nothing else.

Fares

TicketAdultChild 4 to 12
One way, station only€12.00€10.00
Return, online€17.10€11.70
Return, at the station€19.00€13.00

A return is clearly the better buy: €17.10 online against €24 for two singles. The 10% online saving comes through the Hola Barcelona platform. Under-4s travel free. Returns must be used the same day, though an online booking stays valid for 90 days.

The route

Parc de Montjuïc up to the Castell de Montjuïc, 750 metres, with no intermediate stop going up. Coming down it calls at the Mirador de l’Alcalde.

Entry to Montjuïc Castle is a separate ticket. The cable car takes you to the door, not through it.

Hours

January, February, November and December 10am to 6pm. March to May and October to 7pm. June to September to 9pm. No weekly closing day.

Sammie O

Sammie O publishes Germ Trips, a travel guide covering hotels, restaurants, airport transfers and chauffeur services. The guides aim for practical detail and a clear recommendation rather than an undifferentiated list. Where a town has no good option, the guides say so and point to the nearest one that does. Guides are AI drafted. A small number have been checked against official listings, and those say so on the page.
