The Louvre introduced two-tier pricing on 14 January 2026. EEA nationals and residents pay €22. Everyone else pays €32. Any guide still quoting a single price predates that change.
What the ticket covers
Permanent collections and temporary exhibitions, plus same-day or next-day admission to the Musée National Eugène-Delacroix. That last part is genuinely useful and almost nobody uses it.
Booking
Reservation is mandatory from 1 July to 31 August 2026 for all visitors, with a short exemption list including Amis du Louvre members, disabled visitors and their companion, and ICOM holders. Outside those two months it is strongly recommended rather than required.
Miss your slot and you lose your privileged entry: the museum treats late arrivals as walk-ups and sends them to the Pyramid queue. No grace period is published.
Hours
- Monday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday: 9am to 6pm.
- Wednesday and Friday: 9am to 9pm.
- Closed Tuesdays.
Free for under-18s, and for EEA residents under 26. Also free on the first Friday of the month after 6pm, though not in July or August, and on 14 July.
