Aquarium of the Pacific Tickets: Book a Slot at Weekends
Long Beach aquarium admission is 49.95 dollars with reservations required at weekends and holidays. Your ticket is not valid before its reserved hour.

The rule that catches people: your ticket is not valid until the hour of your reservation. Arriving at 10am for a 1pm slot does not get you in early, and at weekends and on holidays a reservation is required rather than optional.
Prices
- Adult $49.95, a fixed published rate rather than dynamic.
- Ages 3 to 11 $34.95. Over-62s $46.95. Under-3s free and need no ticket.
- Parking is $8 for the day with aquarium validation, paid on exit.
Admission covers the standard galleries: the Tropical Pacific, Northern Pacific and Southern California and Baja exhibits, the sea otters, sharks and jellies. Animal encounters, behind-the-scenes tours, boat programmes and the HoloTheater are extra.
Useful details
- Same-day re-entry is allowed, but you must take a hand stamp on the way out.
- Unused tickets stay valid a year, but still need a free reservation to redeem.
- There are no lockers. Tripods are banned. Outside food is allowed on the plaza only.
Open daily 9am to 6pm, closed only on Christmas Day.

Sammie O publishes Germ Trips, a travel guide covering hotels, restaurants, airport transfers and chauffeur services. The guides aim for practical detail and a clear recommendation rather than an undifferentiated list. Where a town has no good option, the guides say so and point to the nearest one that does. Guides are AI drafted. A small number have been checked against official listings, and those say so on the page.
