Acropolis Tickets: Free Entry Still Needs a Booked Slot
Acropolis entry is 30 euros with mandatory hourly slots and a 20,000-a-day cap. EU visitors under 25 get in free but must still reserve a time.

The Acropolis runs on mandatory hourly time slots under a cap of 20,000 visitors a day. You are admitted within about 15 minutes either side of your booked hour, and it is enforced.
Which produces the counterintuitive bit: an EU passport holder under 25 pays nothing but still has to reserve a slot. A free ticket is not a walk-up. Book it like any other.
Prices
- Adult €30, reduced €15. The Ministry of Culture now lists a single rate: the old 50% winter reduction appears to be gone.
- Free: EU nationals under 25 with ID, non-EU visitors under 18, students and teachers on educational visits, disabled visitors at 67% or above plus one escort, ICOM and ICOMOS members, large families and refugees.
- Half price for EU and Greek over-65s, but only between 1 October and 31 May.
- Free days: 6 March, 18 April, 18 May, the last weekend of September, 28 October, and the first and third Sunday of each month from 1 November to 31 March.
The combined multi-site archaeological ticket is reported to have been discontinued in 2025, and no multi-site package appears on the Ministry’s own page. Anything sold as an Acropolis “combo” today is a reseller bundle.
Hours
March to October, 8am to 8pm, last entry 7.30pm. November to February, 8am to 5pm, last entry 4.30pm. Closed 1 January, 25 March, 1 May, Easter Sunday and 25–26 December.
