Pena Palace Tickets: The 12 Euro Park Ticket Includes the Terraces
Posted in :
Pena’s palace interior runs on mandatory timed entry, and slots for good dates go. Most guides stop there and tell you that you have missed it. You have not.
The €12 park-only ticket includes the palace terraces. Those terraces are the red-and-yellow walls, the Triton gate and the ridge-top views that people actually travel to Sintra to photograph. The park ticket has no timed slot either — you walk in when you arrive.
The tickets
| Ticket | Adult | Covers |
|---|---|---|
| Park only | €12 | 85 hectares of park, the Chalet of the Countess of Edla, and the palace terraces. No timed entry. |
| Essential Visit | €20 | Park plus the palace interior, self-guided. Timed slot required. |
| Complete Visit | €45 | The extended route through the palace. |
Under-6s free. Youth 6 to 17 and seniors 65+ pay €10 for the park and €18 for the Essential Visit — Parques de Sintra’s pages disagree on the youth rate in places, so check at checkout. A family ticket for two adults and two children is €40 park-only or €65 for the Essential Visit.
There is no online discount; the price is the same either way.
