Versailles Tickets: The Palace-Only Ticket Is Gone
Posted in :
From 14 January 2026 the standalone Palace ticket no longer exists. Versailles now sells the Passport, which covers the Palace, the Estate of Trianon and the Gardens together. Pages quoting a €21 Palace ticket are out of date.
Prices, by season and passport
| Ticket | Standard | EEA |
|---|---|---|
| Passport, low season (1 Nov to 31 Mar) | €25 | €22 |
| Passport, high season (1 Apr to 31 Oct) | €35 | €32 |
| Late entry, low season from 3pm | €18 | €15 |
| Late entry, high season from 4pm | €28 | €25 |
| Estate of Trianon only | €15 | €12 |
The Musical Fountains and Musical Gardens are not part of the Passport in high season. They are free in low season and €15 standard, €12 EEA, from April to October. This is the most common Versailles billing surprise.
The timing trap
A Palace time slot is compulsory, hourly from 9am to 3pm, and admits you once only. But the Trianon Estate does not open until noon for most of the year. Book a 9am Palace slot and you cannot start at Trianon, however logical that seemed on the map.
Palace and Trianon are closed Mondays. The Gardens and Park open every day. Palace 9am to 6.30pm, Trianon noon to 6.30pm, Gardens 8am to 8.30pm.
The whole estate is free to everyone on the first Sunday of the month from November to March — but you still have to book a free timed Palace slot online.
