Sainte-Chapelle Tickets: Combine It With the Conciergerie

Since 12 January 2026 Sainte-Chapelle has charged €16 for EEA nationals and residents and €22 for everyone else. The combined ticket with the Conciergerie next door is €23 EEA, €30 otherwise, which saves several euros over buying both separately.

The two are on the same island, a two-minute walk apart, and the Conciergerie is where Marie Antoinette was held. If you are going to one you may as well price the pair.

Budget for the security queue, not the ticket queue

Sainte-Chapelle sits inside the working Palais de Justice, so entry runs through courthouse security. The chapel’s own advice is to respect your reservation time and allow up to 30 minutes of waiting on busy days. Helmets, aerosols, sharp objects, glass bottles and bulky luggage are refused.

That queue, not the ticket desk, is what makes people late for the rest of their day.

Hours

Open daily, no weekly closing day. 1 April to 30 September: 9am to 7pm. 1 October to 31 March: 9am to 5pm. Last access 30 minutes before closing. Closed 1 January, 1 May and 25 December.

Go on a bright day if you can. The point of the building is 15 metres of stained glass, and it is a different place under cloud.

The guides aim for practical detail and a clear recommendation rather than an undifferentiated list. Where a town has no good option, the guides say so and point to the nearest one that does. Guides are AI drafted. A small number have been checked against official listings, and those say so on the page.
