Real Alcázar Tickets: Your Name Is on the Ticket
Alcázar tickets are nominative and ID is checked at the gate. General entry is 15.50 euros; the Cuarto Real Alto is a separate 5.50 ticket.
Two things about the Alcázar have changed in a way that breaks most published advice: the ticket now carries your name and is checked against ID at the Puerta del León, and it now includes three other Seville museums for free.
Price
- General admission €15.50, reduced €8.00 for over-65s and students aged 14–30.
- Cuarto Real Alto — €5.50, a separate ticket. The upper royal apartments are not in general admission, and the free Monday visit explicitly excludes them.
- The Gothic Palace roofs, the archaeological crypt and the theatrical night visits are each their own ticket again.
What is now included free
The general ticket now admits you free to the Antiquarium under the Setas, Casa Fabiola and the Museo de Cerámica de Triana, same or next day. If you are doing the Alcázar, do not buy the Antiquarium’s €2 ticket separately.
Booking, honestly
Entry runs in 30-minute slots and you may enter from 15 minutes before to 30 minutes after. The box office holds a very limited same-day quota. How far ahead tickets release is not published — and the official ticketing FAQ states flatly that there are no waiting lists, no early release and no alternative channels beyond the official site and, where available, the same-day box office. Anyone quoting a specific release window is not quoting the operator.
The daily cap is also not published. For scale: over 2.2 million people visited in 2025.
Free entry, and a myth
Free for people born in or resident in the municipality of Seville, under-13s with an adult, visitors with 33% disability plus a companion, and the registered unemployed of Seville province. There is no EU-citizen free entry — that is a persistent and expensive myth. The residency exemption is municipal.
Open 09:30–17:00 in winter and to 19:00 from April to September. Closed 1 and 6 January, Good Friday and 25 December. Gardens can close for weather with no refund.
