Brussels Town Hall Tickets: It Is No Longer Guided-Only
Brussels Town Hall now runs a 15 euro self-guided videoguide visit. It is closed Tuesdays and Thursdays, and it is not the museum opposite.

Two persistent errors about the Gothic building with the spire on the Grand-Place, and they send people to the wrong place on the wrong day.
1. You do not need a guided tour
The Town Hall used to be guided-only. It is not any more. The standard visit is self-guided with a videoguide, a 23-stop route through six centuries, in six languages — French, Dutch, German, English, Italian and Spanish.
- Videoguide visit — €15. Seniors and students €8; children 7–18 and reduced-mobility visitors €6; under-7s free. Family pack €40.
- Panoramic guided tour — €25. This is the only ticket that includes the balcony and the tower climb, and it runs weekends only: 15:00 and 17:00 in English, 16:00 in French.
Booking online is required and cash is not accepted at the venue.
2. It is not the Maison du Roi
The neo-Gothic building directly opposite, on the north side of the square, is the Maison du Roi, home of the Brussels City Museum — a different institution with a different ticket. Neither admits you to the other. That museum holds the original Manneken-Pis statue and its ticket includes the GardeRobe MannekenPis costume collection. It has no lift and is not wheelchair accessible. Its own site would not serve us its current price or hours, so we are not quoting either.
Closed Tuesdays and Thursdays
And the pattern is split: Monday, Wednesday and Sunday 11:00–17:00, last entry 16:00; Friday and Saturday 15:00–19:00, last entry 18:00. There is no Friday or Saturday morning opening.
The Town Hall interior is accessible to visitors with reduced mobility, arranged in advance. The panoramic tour’s tower is a spiral staircase and is not.
