Mont-Saint-Michel Abbey Tickets: The Village Is Free
Posted in :
You do not need a ticket to visit Mont-Saint-Michel. The village, its streets and the ramparts are freely accessible, without reservation, ticket or time constraint. The ticket buys the abbey at the summit, and nothing else.
Prices
- 1 April to 30 September: €16.
- 1 October to 31 March: €13.
- Free for EU residents under 26, and on the first Sunday of January, February, March, November and December.
The ticket gives access to all rooms of the abbey. Booking is not stated as mandatory for individuals.
The cost nobody budgets for
Parking on the mainland is paid and not included in any abbey ticket. The shuttles from the car parks to the Mont are free. Build in the transfer time as well as the money, because it is what makes people miss last entry.
Hours
Open daily, no weekly closing day. 1 May to 31 August: 9am to 7pm. 1 September to 30 April: 9.30am to 6pm. Last entry is a full hour before closing. Closed 1 January, 1 May and 25 December.
