Van Gogh Museum and Canal Cruise: No Official Combo Exists
The Van Gogh Museum sells admission only. Every museum-plus-canal-cruise ticket is a reseller bundle, so compare it against buying the two separately.
Search for a Van Gogh Museum and canal cruise ticket and you will find dozens. None of them are sold by the museum. The Van Gogh Museum’s own shop sells admission and audio tours, and nothing else. Every combined product is a reseller or cruise-operator bundle.
That matters because there is no “official” discount to chase. A bundle is worth buying only if it genuinely undercuts the two bought separately, and often it does not. Price the museum ticket first, then decide.
The museum ticket
- Adult €25 in the live booking system. The museum’s own factsheet PDF still says €24 — the shop is the current figure.
- Free for ages 0 to 18.
- Timed entry is mandatory. Tickets are valid only on the date and at the time selected.
- Open daily 9am to 6pm, Fridays to 9pm, with dated exceptions.
Buy from the right domain
The museum is vangoghmuseum.nl. A separate site markets itself as an official guide on a similar-looking address and is not the museum. If the page you are on is not vangoghmuseum.nl, you are buying from a third party — which is fine, as long as you know it.
