Granada Cathedral Tickets: Not the Same Ticket as the Royal Chapel
Granada Cathedral and the Royal Chapel share a wall but not a ticket. The cathedral is 7 euros, or 10 during the 2026 KERYGMA exhibition.
The Cathedral and the Royal Chapel are physically joined. They are two monuments with two admissions, and people assume otherwise every day of the week.
Price, with a 2026 complication
- Standard rate €7, or €5 for under-25 students and disabled visitors.
- €10 during the KERYGMA exhibition, 8 May to 28 November 2026, with €8 reduced. If you are visiting in that window, budget the higher figure.
- Under-12s free. Granada residents €5 at the ticket office with ID; local school groups €3.
Hours, and how easily they move
Monday to Saturday 10:00–18:15, Sundays from 15:00. Visits stop during worship, and the cathedral warns openly that schedules can change without notice. Closed 1 January; on 24 December it opens only until 12:45 and it closes on the 25th.
There is no general free window. Free entry is limited to under-12s with family and to local school groups during school hours.
A note on where you buy
Both the Cathedral and the Royal Chapel sell through a diocesan platform whose name does not obviously read as official. It is legitimate — the cathedral’s own site links to it — and worth saying plainly, because it looks exactly like the pattern travellers are told to avoid.
Photography is allowed here, unlike next door, provided it does not disturb anyone at prayer. Downloadable audio guides are included, with a version for hearing-impaired visitors.
