Toledo Cathedral Tickets: It Does Not Open Until 2pm on Sundays
Toledo Cathedral is 12 euros and the sacristy El Grecos and the treasury are included. On Sundays it does not open to visitors until 14:00.
Spain’s primatial cathedral is €12, and the good news is how much of it that covers.
Included, not extra
The Capilla Mayor and its gilded retable, the choir, the sacristy with its El Grecos — including The Disrobing of Christ — the chapter house, the cloister, the crypt, and the Custodia de Arfe, the great silver monstrance. None of those is a separate ticket. Reduced €8; children 8–14 €6.
The bell tower has its own page on the cathedral’s site — and no price, no add-on and no booking option anywhere. We could not establish that it is buyable at all.
Sunday is the trap
Monday to Saturday 10:00–18:30. Sunday 14:00–18:30 — the whole morning is worship only. Visitors who plan a Sunday morning cathedral and an afternoon train home lose the visit entirely.
There is no free window for tourists. Free entry applies to people born or resident in the city, to residents of the archdiocese on Sundays, and to under-8s. Attending mass is free for anyone, through the Puerta del Reloj.
Several dates run restricted hours — 6 January, Palm Sunday, Easter Sunday, 1 November, 8 December and the Christmas period among them. Closed 1 January and 25 December.
The 2026 exhibition is a separate ticket
The “Primada” VIII centenary exhibition costs another €12, enters by a different door on Calle Arco de Palacio, and states plainly that it does not include the usual cathedral visit. Two tickets, two doors. Its run dates are not published.
Wheelchairs are available free at the ticket counter and most areas are accessible.
