What you are actually buying
The Burial of the Count of Orgaz is behind a paid turnstile in a dedicated annex. You never enter the main nave. There is no free-entry slot for tourists and no way to see it from the church proper.
That sounds grudging and it is not meant to be. Four euros for one of the two or three greatest paintings in Spain, hung exactly where El Greco put it in 1586, at eye level, in the room it was made for, is one of the best transactions in European travel. Just know what you are walking into.

- Under-10s free. Over-65s pay the full €4 — there is no senior rate.

Hours
Daily 10:00–18:45 from 1 March to 15 October, and 10:00–17:45 through the winter. Closed 1 January and 25 December; 24 and 31 December open only until 13:00. Access is subject to services and can be suspended for worship.
One caution: the church’s own rates page is internally dated 2022/23 and still describes the old bracelet terms. Its prices match the current operator’s; its bracelet description does not.
