Bring a towel. Széchenyi has suspended rental — towels, robes, caps and slippers can only be bought, not borrowed, and a towel costs 6,900 Ft. That is half the price of the ticket, for a towel.
What entry costs in 2026
- Day ticket with locker — 13,200 Ft Monday to Thursday, 14,800 Ft Friday and weekends, 15,800 Ft on peak days.
- “Good morning” ticket — 10,500 Ft, if you are through the door by 09:00. The cheapest way in and the quietest hour.
- Fast Track, online only, 15,200 Ft and up.
The cabin is now an upgrade, not a ticket type
Older guides describe two ticket prices, one with a locker and a dearer one with a private changing cabin. That structure is gone. The day ticket includes a locker, and a cabin is a 1,000 Ft add-on. A valuables safe is 1,100 Ft. Massages start around 11,800 Ft for twenty minutes.
It closes earlier than you think
Monday to Thursday 07:00–20:00, Friday to 22:00, weekends 08:00–20:00. Pools and saunas shut twenty minutes before the building does, and ticket sales stop a full hour before closing. Guides claiming “6am to 10pm daily” are describing an old timetable.
Day tickets are sold at the swimming-pool side entrance on Állatkerti körút, not the main facade. Booking is not required, but on full days online tickets are given priority.
